Conference: Street-level research in the employment and social policy area

The interplay between policy reforms, governance and street-level practices and the implications for the assistance-seeking citizens

Copenhagen 18th -19th November 2015 at Aalborg University Campus, organised by CARMA & SAB at Aalborg University, KORA (Danish Institute for Local and Regional Government Research) and Department of Social Work, Metropol (Metropolitan University College).

Call for papers
Gathering some of the most prominent international scholars in the field of street-level research, employment and social polices: Michael Lipsky (Georgetown University), Mark Considine (University of Melbourne), Evelyn Brodkin (University of Chicago), Rik Van Berkel (Utrecht University) & Sharon Wright (University of Glasgow) this conference seeks to advance research in the role of street-level organisations in welfare state politics. We welcome papers that investigate relations between active welfare state reforms (represented by employment and social policy reforms) and its governance on the one hand and the face-to-face delivery of active welfare policy on the other hand.
